Swagelok Tech Tip: Check Valve Basics - Cracking and Resealing Pressure


 

 

Cracking pressure is the pressure in which you first get an indication of flow. It's not necessarily when the valve is in the fully open position. Re-sealing pressure is the pressure in which there's no indication of flow. Re-seal typically requires back pressure in order to re-seal properly.
